1. Star Talent Palmer Available for Crucial London Clash with Arsenal

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca announced on the final weekday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the team's important Premier League encounter against London opponents Arsenal.

The young England midfielder was unavailable due to a fractured toe suffered after an unfortunate occurrence.

“He is fit to begin and feature,” Maresca declared. “The whole team is delighted.”

This season, Palmer has featured in just four games in all tournaments, finding the net on two occasions.

Following his transfer from Manchester City in 2023, he has notched 45 scores and 29 helpers in 101 games for Chelsea.

“He is our best player, we are pleased he is back, we need to give him time to be completely ready,” Maresca continued. “He has done fantastic in the past and no doubt he is going to do great things for this club in the future.”

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” manager David Moyes stated. “No explanation was provided for the rejection but we did appeal it.”

Inquired about any further fallout from the event, Moyes continued: “The matter was resolved instantly, it was done, that was it, we progressed quite quickly and it was all sorted within the dressing room.”

Third Story: Wissa Practices with Newcastle for First Time since Setback

The club's new acquisition Yoane Wissa has trained with his squad for the first time since suffering a knee injury soon after his arrival from his former club in September.

Head coach Eddie Howe confirmed the news on Friday but did not disclose a possible return date for the 29-year-old.

Howe added: “We’ve got [a return date] in mind, but it’s likely best if I do not share it publicly. We wish to prevent any disappointment. Naturally, we want to include him as soon as possible.”

In other news, the defender will be sidelined for a month with a hamstring injury.

4. The Reds' Slump ‘Irrelevant’, Says Hammers Boss Nuno

West Ham United manager Nuno Espírito Santo has insisted that Liverpool' current slump “should not be a focus” as his side gets ready to face the struggling top-flight title holders.

The Liverpool manager's team has lost six of the last seven league games, falling out of the upper half of the standings.

However, Nuno emphasized that there can be no room for overconfidence when the teams clash on Sunday at the London Stadium.

“Liverpool is a good team and in football, what matters is what you do on the day,” Nuno remarked. “We anticipate facing the league champions, players that are talented and capable of doing good things, so we have to be ready.

“The history of the results before, the performance of the teams, is not that important. It is about the match day. Aware that we are going to face a very good team, that has players able of doing fantastic things, so we have to get ready, to compete.”

West Ham will have available Lucas Paquetá after his suspension, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are progressing in their return from injury.

5. Morgan Gibbs-White in Contention for Forest against The Seagulls

Nottingham Forest's manager Sean Dyche is optimistic that Morgan Gibbs-White will be ready for the team's home fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion on the weekend.

The English player was absent for Thursday's European match against the Swedish side due to a back issue.

“We hope it is improving,” Dyche commented as he got ready to face the Brighton manager's team, who have secured seven points from their last three outings.

“It’s comparable to back pain, but a waking-up sort of injury, one where you just sleep funny or move improperly. So we’re not anticipating, at this stage anyway, that it’s too serious and it’s settling down already. So we’re hopeful that it’ll be okay for the weekend.”

The defender was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring after the comfortable Europa League win, but Dyche indicated the player “will likely be available”.

Meanwhile, the full-back (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), Dilane Bakwa (hamstring), Chris Wood (knee), and the defender (hip) are likely to be unavailable.

6. Glasner: European Loss Will Not Hinder Crystal Palace

The Eagles head coach Oliver Glasner feels that the setback of midweek's Conference League loss to the French side is a sign of how much progress the team has come in challenging on multiple fronts.
