Based on a law enforcement document obtained by media outlets, the unnamed man shared 347 clips of explicit scenes in a Reddit group he managed, which were then viewed 4.2 million-plus times. The country's police confirm he has been given a seven-month deferred jail term for copyright infringement. Legal analysts say the man was prosecuted under a seldom-invoked clause in Danish intellectual property legislation, with the court finding that by taking the footage out of their original context, the accused had harmed the performers' "ethical entitlements". He has additionally been found guilty of sharing more than 25 terabytes of protected digital content. From spring 2022 to mid-2023, the man known as "KlammereFyr" on Reddit uploaded sexually explicit clips featuring over 100 female performers. He shared them in the subreddit he was a moderator of. Per the Denmark's anti-piracy group the Rights Alliance, his online community had more than 6,000 members and participants were encouraged to ask for excerpts of particular actors. In 2023, advocates filed the case to the authorities on behalf of the impacted artists, filmmakers and production companies, which resulted in the subreddit being shut down. One actress, one of the performers whose nude scenes were shared in the community, explained to local media at the time she believed there was a distinction between appearing unclothed in a film and appearing on Reddit.
